My wild self

Last week room 18 made our wild self using this website http://www.buildyourwildself.com/. My ones name is The lio-pol-wal-ark-at-crocodile.

Here are some facts about my one.

Polar bear ears -It gets cold in the Arctic (down to -37 °C). For warmth, my polar bear ears are small and covered in fur even on the inside. When diving, my ears close to keep cold water out.

Rodrigues bat wings - my Rodrigues bat wings are very different from bird wings. Bird wings are made like human arm bones. But my bat wings are more like really long fingers. Creepy long fingers!

Nurse shark fins - I can use my nurse shark fins to rest in the shallow water during the day, so I am ready to hunt the seafloor at night. That means I'm a nocturnal hunter.

This is my photo.

Worlds Worst Children Response

This term, Room 18 has been reading The World's Worst Children by David Walliams.  I've really enjoyed the book. Room 18 has been doing reading responses on the different children. The picture below is my picture of Nigel Nit-Boy with his nits swarming to the broccoli.

Here are some sentences about the book.

Nigel Nit-Boy is a boy who loves nits because he has had no pets, he treats his nits like pets.  At school one day, Nigel heard of a girl called Tina who had nits too.  Nigel chased Tina through the playground so that he could get her nits. Once Nigel had Tina’s nits and the school cat’s nits, his aunt made him a Super Nit-Boy outfit.  He got his nits and his costume ready and he set off to school. First he ordered his nits to attack his headmaster because Nigel wanted to get revenge on him for giving Nigel detention. After the headmaster, Nigel was going to attack the dinner lady because she had always insisted on him eating yucky green broccoli.

Reading in Unusual Places

This week at our school is Book Week. We have been busy reading to ourselves, our peers and younger children from our school, dressing up as our favourite book character and completing a quiz about books. Our challenge at home was to take a photo of us reading in the most unusual place. Here is my photo where I am reading with 9 month old twins, Bryn and Morgan.
